Wife and I go to lots of movies and have seen previews of this. It is on our to see list. Love to see more Westerns pop up on the big screen. My wife is kin to Kevin Costner and he has a new tv series coming out called Yellowstone which looks great as well.

That looks good! Anytime Christion Bale morphs his body it is usually a good character performance.
I just finished an Indian phase, I think there is some interesting stories coming out to the big screen.
Killer of the Summer Moon is an real interesting story

Anyone seen it yet? it's playing locally but can't bring myself to go sit in a theater during flu season. probably going to have to wait for it to come out on cable or dvd, which is scheduled for April.

Good point on the flu. I was thinking about going to see a flick but I think I will reconsider that.

We saw it. It was a good movie, a little slow to build but still okay. It definitely was not what I was expecting.

purpletele: Do you mean Empire of the Summer Moon? I just read that book and was amazed that those ignorant, stupid savages were able to make those West Point educated professional soldiers look like total CHUMPS for over forty years! The Plains Tribes were not just tuned in to Nature, they were PART of nature. What a great book. I can only imagine how much research was required to compile that book. All of our lives we've heard the Apaches were the real bad actors, but the Comanches, Kiowas and Souix were the real deal. Amazing. I gained a lot of respect for our former land tenants.
Any of you that haven't read that book are missing a great chapter of American history. I'll have to keep an eye out for the upcoming movies and TV series.
