Whatever XOTIC releases is always well planned out and Great. Let us know what you think compared to the AC & BB. It’s been a while since I’ve had the AC booster but I believe the Soul Driven is based on the AC. A quick comparison to the BB reveals the SD has more compression, a bit more gain and more bottom end. BB is more open, maybe a tad more mid hump. You can adjust the mids on the SD...I find it just right straight up...neither cut or boosted. It makes chords sound huge! I’d say it’s the fattest sounding OD I’ve had. Works great with my tele. I’ll play with it a little more and if I have the courage, I’ll post a clip or two.

I know the SL is somewhat a different animal. I was curious if those two on a board would cover the high and medium gain tones... or if they are somewhat similar to each other.

I had an SL and it was a great pedal. Not sure why I sold it to be honest...it’s been a while since I’ve had that one as well but yeah, I’d say they’re different enough that they’d definitely suit each other and work well to do what you want. I just got the SD and have only spent 10 minutes with it. I’ll need more time and a gig or two with it to tell you more

To my ears the sd has more girth, mature sound...sl was a killer little pedal as well...sd sounds a little more 'flush' and bigger/fatter tone...imho...owning both is best option...

I now have a SD on order:). I was going to part with my chrome SL to pay for it. However, after playing the SL again... it isn't going nowhere. What a Marshall wall of sound! XOTIC pedals are always hard for me to part with. The only one I don't own is the mini SP.

I think this is my favorite OD to date. I have to agree with you! Some of my main OD pedals are going to be up for grabs now after using the SD. Time to do some a/b comparisons to make sure. But all in all very Pleased!

I took my Paisley drive off my board to put the SD on...I may put it back on in place of my BB but as it stands, the SD will be my main dirt pedal.

Me too...still trying to figure out how to tap one or the other switches during a song and not get the wrong one! Man, they are close for my stubby feet.

I haven’t had too much of a problem because I leave just a bit of extra room on both sides. I use the first gain stage to fatten the tele up and the second one for solo boost. Brilliant!

I took the Ditto off the board as I don't use it live so there's a little extra room...still fumble it a bit. It's a great pedal though!
