I've been casually looking to find a used Flint locally and one finally popped up for a good price. Very impressed with the trems, particularly the harmonic and bias versions. I have a 61 Super (harmonic) and a 62 Princeton (bias) and the Flint replicates both of these pretty darn well. The photo bug one doesn't compare as well with the real thing in my 66 Pro. I have not warmed up to the reverb side of the Flint yet but it's at least as good as my other pedal based options (Line 6 M13 and Boss RV-5) so as long as I'm no longer willing to own a stand alone tube unit, this may be as good as it gets subject to more knob tweaking and experimenting. Lots of very cool sounds in a compact package.

Congrats! I've been using the Flint for a coupla years now, and like you I love the trems and accept the verb as "Good enough." I only keep a little verb going most all the time and honestly would probably prefer a tad of delay instead, but the Flint is a great compromise pedal covering both bases (trem and verb) pretty well. Mine is not going anywhere anytime soon.... Enjoy!!!

Congrats...smooth reverb on flint...to my ears its one of the best and most natural sounding verbs around.

Thanks. The reverb is fine for the touch I use for 75% of my playing but I've gotten hooked on surf and it just doesn't seem to be able to carry it off at the drippy end of the spring settings. Wasn't into surf when I owned my Z-verb a few years ago or I'd probably still own it. For some reason, I've never learned how to effectively play with delay and make it sound good. There must be a trick to it that I have not figured out yet.

When I first got my Flint I ONLY used the '60's reverb since I was most interested in a spring reverb sound. I was happy with that but I have gravitated toward using the other two reverbs lately. Sometimes I just need my sound to have "space" without sounding "cluttered". As has been discussed in other threads the Flint works best in an amps FX loop. I think it especially enhances it's '60's spring type reverb.

I guess I’m on the other side of the spectrum here. I tend to mainly use the Reverb on my Flint and occasionally the tremolo.

I use both and also have a favorite switch. My normal settings are a subtle 70s verb with the 63 trem, and my fav switch is a slow harmonic trem with a more lush in your face 80s verb for things like swells. The cool thing with the favorite switch is u can take either effect off while still being in the fav setting. Awesome pedal! Its like having four pedals in one with the fav switch. I can also set it up as a clean boost as well.

I had one but sold it this summer when I sold some non-reverb amps. Now that I have a Cure, I ordered one to run through the effects loop.

I've been wanting a Flint for about 5-6 years. I bought a Timeline back about 2012. Love the Timeline but always had my eye on a Flint and El Cap. I would't put them all on the same board but I would pair the Flint with the Timeline. I use a Nuenaber WET reverb pedal now which I love. I'd like to A/B the Flint and WET.
The Flint will probably be my 1st purchase of 2018.

I have an H9 and I can tell you that the H9 doesn't come close to the Flint for reverb or tremolo in my opinion. That being said, the H9 excels in other areas and that's why it's currently in my board instead of the Flint. I hope to build a second board before long and the Flint will for sure be in it.
