Gday Folks, So, Im intending to running an 8ohm cab into my Mini Z Combo, so I needed a Y box to plug both speakers into before going back into the amps speaker input (and switching it to 4ohm). Im confident I got the wiring right, but I used left over wire from the Vintage Wiring kit I got from my SG.... Is this wire gauge suitable for the job? Probably should of ask before I soldered it up, right?
Cheers, Scott.

Looks fine. From what I see you wired the tips to the tips and the rings to the rings, which is what you want for a parallel connection. Plug two 8 ohm speakers into it and your amp will see 4 ohms; two 16 ohms will give 8 ohms.
The wire looks like it's fine, it looks like it's around 20 gauge? For such a short run that is plenty big and won't give you any trouble. Good job. Your Mini's going to love it.

Thanks for the feed back mate, I don't know much about wire gauges etc, I just figured if it is good enough for the pot wiring in a guitar it should do the job for the speakers....
Cheers, Scott.

Yes, for a short length of wire like this it doesn't have to be any bigger than what you have. If you ran 5 meters of it I"d suggest a heavier gauge wire though! Enjoy that Mini-Z...I recently sold mine and I'm missing it. But my Maz 8 scratches that itch pretty well so it's all good. Plus my old Mini is in great hands now. Like all Z's, It's a great amp.

Looks fine. Some Y and A/B boxes don't even wire the sleeve lugs together. They connect them through contact with the metal box. It may be overkill but I like your way better.

Thank guys, now Ive just gotta work on the cab. Ive got a WGS 12" Veteran 30 that I picked up along the way, which probably would have complimented the Ramrod well, plus theyre both 100db speakers, but Ive now got a Greenback 10' in the amp which is 95db so Im on the search for a 12' 95db speaker so I don't drown out the Greenback.
The other plan is I get another 10" speaker cab and put either another 10" Greenback or a G10N-40 in it, and put the WGS 12" in another cab for when I one day get a Z Head..... or just run the 12" cab into the mini with the 10" disconnected for a bit more oomph..... plans are hatching... decisions decisions... hahaha!
Cheers, Scott.
