Im looking at a Route 66and notice several from 2003/4 listed on reverb. Any issues with ones from those years or just coincidence?
I'm not sure where the cut-off would be, but some older Route 66s had less filtering and are known to produce some ghost notes. It's not an issue but just the nature of the circuit. I think the newer ones have more filtering and may be a little 'stiffer' than the older ones.
Some people prefer the older ones....some the newer. It's just a coincidence that a few have shown up for sale.
One of the listings was my 66...the 15 Anniversary from 2003.
I never had any issues with it or noticeable ghost notes. I'm just selling it because I moved on to a different tone flavor, and the 66 was just sitting there getting little use. It's a great sounding one, and clean...and you can't beat the price for a head/112 cab, compared to what some people are asking for just the head.
I'm going to relist it here again...as I see my previous listing vanished.

GuitarZ: Argghh! ETA for power is Sunday midnight. Thank you for giving us all a place to vent. At least we have a generator and our house suffered zero damage from the storms.

GuitarZ: They say you should be on the same page about kids before you get married. I really think you ought to talk about expectations on outdoor Christmas/Holiday lights. That could have been a game changer.
