Anyone have any experience with this one? The Reaper supposedly is WGSs take on a Celestion G12H30 70th Anniversary. The HP is a 50 watt(vs 30 watt) version(Kapton vs paper former). I was considering the G12H30 for my Z28 1x12 combo, replacing the Greenback, but now am throwing the WGS into the consideration mix. Thx

Have experience with it and it is a great replacement...I put it in of all things a blues jr...and it grew a big pair of....yeah it had head room,clarity...heavy!....I have et 65 in both my maz's...they suggested vet 30 also...but et65 was more versatile....was also considering the invader...might pop for both vetran 30.invader...at some point but very content with wgs

Thx^
My issue with the stock Greenback is at cranked amp levels, with or without the Brake Lite engaged. The lows kind of turn to mush. I definitely need a higher than 25 watt speaker with more headroom and tighter bass than the Greenback. Less mids too(The Z28 has plenty, is NOT scooped). The thing is, I generally don't "crank" the amp, but set it to the edge of clean and use pedals. The Greenback does sound good this way, even with pedals.

I've tried a lot of speakers in my 1x12 open back convertible and Maz 18 lately. So far, the Reaper HP is my favorite. Clear and big sounding with good mids and not as sharp on the highs as the Celestion Anniversary.
I have an ET65 in it now I am trying now. If that doesn't do it for me, I'll put the Reaper HP back in and be very happy.

I bought one, live it so far and it's still breaking in. I'll check back in in a month.

The Invader is my favorite speaker.
I am running Invader/ET65 as a pair in a 2x12 and I LOVE the sound. My favorite ceramic magnet speaker combo so far.

So, almost a month since getting the Reaper HP. It hasnt been a good month for LOUD guitar in my house, but I'm sure i got at least 5 cranked hours of break in and 5-10 Brakelite on 4 clicks playtime. Dont know if it is or still is breaking in.
Still sounds killer. Not once have I thought about getting rid of it. THATS a good thing!
