This amp never ceases to amaze me! Friday night I played with my blues band in a historic tavern that was lucky to hold 50 people. Dialed it in nicely and had a few a few of the patrons coming up and saying how wonderful it sounded. Played it straight in with the boost switch on and adjusted my sound with the volume and tone controls. Pure tonal bliss!
Saturday night, was a small private party with my classic rock band that was twice the size of the room on Friday. I used another cabinet on the other side of the stage with my Studio combo on my side. Played it with the boost switch on with a small pedalboard of delay, clean boost and Zen drive. Pure tonal bliss!
I love this amp! I knew it was perfect for most of my playing situations the first time I heard it. Git you one!

It's a great amp, I've settled in on the Pentode mode as my "Voice of choice" with the amp. I like the immediacy of that mode. The boost is really cool too, I usually use mine at around 25% max though. I like the openness of a single ended amp so much. There's a sweetness there that just eludes push-pull circuits. Mine's sitting two feet away right now with my Strat plugged straight in. It even sounds fat and sassy at low levels. It works so well with so many guitars and I gig mine several times a year with our big swing/jazz band. It has no problem at all standing up to a full brass band, and it's also a great choice for open mic blues jams. 'GIT YOU ONE" fer sure!

I swear mine has much more attitude when I put in a head cab.
I play my 8 at least twice a day.
I like playing mine with my Tumnus on with just a little gain otherwise just a clean boost.

Great stuff Bill.
I almost sold my Maz8 last month. I used it, but never gigged it much, and that's a pretty heavy requirement for me keeping it.
My buyer backed out, and I plugged in again, trying some settings that I've never or rarely used.
Now I'm hooked again, and it's staying with me. I play it every day.

I played a wedding gig with a "Princeton on Steroids" Saturday night since I don't have a small Z amp......I didn't need to read this, Bill!

Either a Maz 8 or a Cure really should be on your Christmas list, my good man. They've pretty much edged my Z-Lux out of the go-to-amp slot. Unless it's a really big venue, and I'm not playing the Hollywood Bowl much lately.

I have a Limited Edition Princeton with a 12" Weber and Hyboer TO20 tranny that sounds amazing, but I'd sure like to hear a Maz 8 next to it.
