I don't think I have gas'd for an amp more and longer than the remedy , so I feel this is a long time coming and absolutely cannot wait. Awhile back I had put a thread asking for opinions on the Remedy vs the Ghia but after much deliberation, realizing I already owned two dual el84 amps (including the RXjr), I needed the remedy. It is a non master volume but I'm looking to pair it with my Allen Old Flame (super reverb). In the meantime any suggestions before it arrives ? Thanks !

Pair it with greenbacks! (or clones) Or a Creamback M.
Stay away from a G12H30. Terrible with the Remedy.

Just a great speaker, has a lot of tonal overlap with the Alnico Cream. The G12H30 is horrible with just about everything! :-)

Nice! I have a 212 with creambacks and it’s my favorite cab

I have the non-master in red also! Congrats. I play mine through an Avatar cab with a pair of Celestion Golds, I also use an airbrake. I find having the volumes somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 gives me a nice range of tone with my LP and a boost.

To my pleasant surprise, the amp arrived early and I had the night off. I ran it over to my studio, plugged into my 212 and started jamming away with my nocaster. This amp is a real stunner. The condition is excellent, bright red Rolex with only one little scratch, it appears to be a first year model, 2009, and came with JJs. My only prejudice was in regards to the solid state rectifier, I worried it's be stiff and too hard sounding but that worry proved unwarranted. The amp is certainly authoritative, muscular and strong but it still gives, I suppose the nature of the 6v6s. So it isn't as tough as the kt45 I had. This is the most pro and ready amp I think I've played through. I feel if I got a call today to play a large venue, I'd grab the amp and feel no worry about standing ground on any stage. So I wouldn't recommend this amp for hobby playing, unless you have the space, this is a bold and powerful amp for the stage. Playing 20 watt mode felt perfect for rehearsal, great grind and remarkable volume control cleans; I ran a hot king of tone into it with both volumes at 2 o clock, eq pretty flat, bass rolled off, mids pushed a bit, and my sound was roaring but when I rolled off I instantly could go from bluesy overdrive to sparkling clean.. Impressed. The main thing this amp delivered on was how tough and rich the high strings sounded on bends and single note lines, felt almost double tracked compared to a lower watt amp. Definitely going to move this amp front of center and can't wait to take to a gig. Super happy !

So much so that I stopped using my overdrive pedals with my Remedy. Take it out to a gig where you can open her up, stand back and be amazed.
