When I was at a steel guitar show a couple of weeks ago I saw a couple of players using these. www.mudstand.com/They seemed to be kind of neat to me. They can be assembled or disassembled in a flash and are almost indestructible. The price is a little stiff for what they are but if I was still gigging regularly I think I would have one.

Now I get the name. By the title of the post I was expecting some type of hunting content. Think duck blind, deer stand etc. (I'm not a hunter so excuse any ignorance on my part.) Clever idea. I've been on a few of those stages they mention in their promo. The magnets are a nice touch.

Most stands go for around $30 to $40 and I have a couple of the Ultimate Support stands. This one just appeals to me for some reason.

Weighing 3 pounds is a big plus in my book. Very cool.

There use to be another company that made amp stands like this but they were a solid one piece and heavy. This makes sense!

I can't leave well enough alone when it come to gear and I was just thinking how easy it would be to adjust the angle with another piece of foam - or whatever is handy - stuck under the base at the rear.

I'll just stick with that roll of duct tape that's already in the bag of my amp.

I'll confess that my eyes immediately went to her but shortly moved to the vintage Princeton Reverb. I guess that comes from having been married to two hot blondes. Guess I'm over that.
