My entire 30 plus years of playing I have always loved and desired over drive from my amps.
Well, since I bought a Z Lux and I use less over drive than ever before. The cleans are so nice I just cant get over it. I dont even use over drive for solos most of the time anymore because I get so much sustain out of this amp.
AmaZing amp, really is!

It's just such a rich tone, with great harmonics. I know what you mean, Todd. It's huge, clean.

Ya, I recently took someone’s advice in a recent thread about SRV tones and put my volume around mid-way and turned up my master a bit to compensate and it’s been great. The volume has crept back up a little but only because I’ve been playing quite quietly lately and I wasn’t getting the same sustain. When the master goes up a bit more then I lower the volume back down and it really does sound world class. I’ll admit I still have an addiction to some gain though, the Z-Drive is still getting used :-).

I got my first Tele when the Stones Emotional Rescue came out. Using some slap delay helped me get where I was going with a cleaner sound. I got that big MXR analog delay that plugs into the wall (like Keith)
I still absolutely love the guitars on this tune. Despite the video that's all Tele for Keith on this one.

True! A touch of slap back delay is so cool. Keith's tone in this cut is amazing. Clean but fat and full, yet really alive. Very cool.
