Hello, I'm a new guy here and i have a couple of questions about Cure...so bear with me. I'm thinking of buying Cure combo cause it seems perfect for what i need. I was usually in heavy rnr bands and was using Trainwreck clone and Marshall JMP with les pauls and it was perfect. But i'm now playing in country pop band as a session guy and i need something light and small 15 to 20w max with good headroom (songs are mostly clean and the band is not loud on stage) i don't use pedals (sometimes delay and tremolo) but i prefer to ride my volume and tone knobs on guitars (les pauls, strats and teles) for clean to mean stuff and was wondering how good is Cure for that? I like amps that are REALLY dynamic and touch sensitive and how is Cure in that department? I play now blues jr. for this session gig (cause wreck and marshalls are too loud) and its an ok amp but i want something more musical...the tones i would like to get are similar to that of brad paisley, well that general vibe, maybe cleaner.Glassy and fat cleans but with a twist of a guitars volume knob to go to saturated sustained fat lead sound. Also how much gain does Cure have? Cause i need an amp that can cover wide range of music...(for my band not just session work) from clean and slightly overdriven country twang to Stone Temple Pilots type gain.can Cure do that? I think Cure fits that bill. But if you have any other recommendation from Dr. Z amps please let me know. Also sorry for the long first post Thanks

It would be irresponsible for any of us to post without mentioning what we call the "Lays Effect" (see potato chips) of Z amps.
That being said, the Cure can certainly de everything you mentioned above and more. It's got a good amount of gain and it has even more gain with the included Variable Tone Stack Bypass.
Can't imagine you wouldn't be wowed by it.

The Cure will be a perfect fit. It'll do everything you need, and some. The level control is probably the best thing since sliced bread!! ....oh, and welcome to Ztalk.

Welcome to the forum! Of course I agree with previous assessments, the Cure is perfect for your requirement. And the fact that you aren't a pedal junkie means you'll really appreciate the tone this little amp can generate. As mentioned above - once you go Z, you never go back.

Welcome to the Forum nenad69. The cure with the EQ bypass engaged can get you some really nice overdrive tone. Its a great amp. The cleans are really good as well. The touch response and feel of the amp is even better its real responsive to pick attack and playing. The doc really thought this one out its a masterpiece grab and go. Its lightweight but it sounds like a heavyweight.

I always liked the idea of the Blues Jr, but not the build quality and quite boxy sound. I also considered a Princeton and tried several, but wasn't totally convinced. Then along came the Cure, and being a Z user anyway it was a no brainer. A quality piece of kit that sounds great with all my guitars, is easy to carry and costs less than some mass produced pcb amps. I've said it before, the Cure has soul!
