Had my Rickenbacker plugged into my Maz 18 NR Studio Combo , cranked up pretty well. This amp loves Ricks. Beatles "Please Please Me".

Hey Frank nice demo. Love me some Ric's. The MAZ has the right amount of the English tone i.e. pushed EL 84's, but the RIC takes it over the top.
Thanks for sharin'

Thanks for sharin' Z Thanks Doc , and thank you for making an amp that can get an authentic voice of the mid-60's British Invasion. Most current production amps can't really capture it IMHO. And I've tried a few.

Nice tone.
Was that just room ambience or a reverb pedal?

Nice tone. Was that just room ambience or a reverb pedal? Thanks. I had just a touch of delay on about midway (at 1:04) , where the drum break would be. Otherwise it was room ambience.

How do you think the Maz 8 measures up?does it still have THAT sound?Any experience comparing 18/8? It's been a couple years since I sold my 8 , prior to that I had a Maz 18 Reverb head / cab. The reason I mention that is now I'm running an 18 NR,and it's a little different than the 18 reverb and 8. I would say you could get in the ballpark with the 8 in pentode , hi input and lean on the volume. But what I found after I got the 18 NR was it had a bit more "girth" with the Rick than either my 18 and 8 had , if that makes sense. At least that's my impressions.
