...and i think i done been spoilt!!....i've had two recent opportunities to acquire very desirable amps at crazy good value...the kind of deals i used to jumbo on knowing i'd at the very least break even on down the line...like many....thats led to dozens of amps over a lifetime of playing.
.... i'm evaluating amps on their individual merits more these days and less on my desire to explore legendary and new hotshot amps...(of which there are too many to even know these days)...the virtues of this amp have already been expounded on well...and i've made a few personal tweaks...(just speaker and tubes)...that suit my wants...
....now everything i'm comparing it to is a step down from what i want in an amp.....the tone is spot on and the versatility is uncanny...play it soft and low or let it roar and it's never out of its element....different guitars sound truly different through it....(a guitar with PAF style buckers is just blowing me away lately).
...and i'm still finding new sounds with it...i recently payed my electric nylon string banjo/guitar through it (Deering Solana 6) and still the amp sounded totally in its groove....Cure really is an apt name... in my case for sure....

I've had a similar experience.....except no speaker change. I run mine with a 1x12 Convertible Cab that has a Weber 50 watt Ceramic Blue Dog in it thru the speaker out feature, and I got a Z Verb on top going thru the FX Loop.
Really this amp is the Cure for me too. Quiet to loud.....with FX or without. A great amp for almost everyone.
Loving mine with a Swampkaster (Tele knock off). I love the MIDS on this amp as well as the singing sustain this amp produces.

Gigged mine last night with the 8pc band (w horns) and I agree. The client wanted us to turn down a little (which ones don't) so a simple twist of the Level and there ya go. Same tone just at a more client-friendly volume. Love it.

What kind of mutt does that? A: they all do.
