Picked up an RX on TGP love the tone, but it had a bad hum. Took it to my tech who's a long time friend & he had to put a hum balance pot on it & now it's 80% better than it was. He changed out filter caps & went thru the entire amp & it still has a Marshall Super Lead type hum.
It's not a deal breaker since it's my favorite Z amp to date. It's also the only Z amp I've owned that isn't near dead quiet at idle.
Let me know what you guys think.. Thanks....

I have several of them without a hum. Have you tried following Doc's troubleshooting process? drzamps.com/info/faq-troubleshoot/ You can also check with Don in the repair shop repairs@drzamps.com

I'm pretty sure the previous owner sent it back to Z in Ohio for repair. I went thru everything before taking to my tech. I have show tonight & I'll see what happens..

Well, a little hum never hurt anyone. The RX absolutely killed last night. What an amp. My favorite Z amp to date. I've had most of them.. With my OD808 in front it's the best Marshall Plexi on the planet..
