Tomorrow, my darling and I pack the X5, fill it with a Telecaster, wee board, a few changes of clothes, extra smokes, cofeee and my beloved MAZ 8 and boot'r North up highway 88 cross the 60th parallel to commence 4 days of Music, friends, belly laughs and about 12 shows. The HAY DAYS MUSIC FESTIVAL in Hay River NWT starts Thursday night, and between the three bands I'm playing with,I'll be doing about 12 shows. The music I get to do runs from old school Country with one band,to Blues/Rock with another, and of course....Rockabilly,Blues and Soul with my own band. We'll play 4 different venues including the Saturday night Mainstage, which is on the beach of Greater Slave Lake; the Riverboat graveyard to our right, water to the horizon in front of us, Northern Lights above us, and a Blues-hungry crowd directly in front of us!!! We'll tent camp as well. Through all this,my rig will most likely remain the same; 2008 Fender CS 50's Thinline- Truetine RT-66 & H2o- MAZ 8 Studio. This simple rig can handle just about anything!!!

Nah, it's playing with yer brothers,AND it's cool stuff I that doesn't make one wince. I'll take a set of 10's just in case the 11-49's prove too torturous but I'm sure it'll be fine.
