Ok so I just got a Z best cab for a great deal. And I already have the open 2x12 cab as the subject implies.
I have a Maz 38 head and a EZG 50 head.
I will be testing out the combinations that I have now to see which I like best but, Question put to you all is:
Which head would you put with which cab? And why?
I'd love to hear about possible experiences with these types of heads and cabs.
Thank in advance.

I have a Z Best that I've used with a Remedy and a Therapy. Great cabinet. Theile ported and it's a long throw cabinet. The Z Best will project much farther than an open back. I've found it seems louder 40 feet away than up close. Lots of bottom end especially when placed lengthwise on the floor. No personal experience with your heads. I'd give them both a listen with each cab and see what happens.

I have a Z-Best and have paired it with a Rt 66, Ghia and Antidote many times. It is a great cab as you will find. My Maz18 is a 2x10 combo, but on a whim I unplugged the combo speakers and played it through the Z- Best. It really brought out a different side of the Maz. Really delivered a tight low end punch beyond what I had previously heard. And the 2x10 combo was lacking in nothing. I think you will find it will compliment either one of your amps magnificently. Which one to pair it with? Whatever your ears desire. Either way you won't go wrong.

There is no right or wrong. Mix and match...let your own ears decide.
