I'm curious what you carry in your emergency Tube Kit when you are out on a gig. I have always carried a couple of each, just in case.

I carry a Crate PowerBlock head. If I have a problem with a tube amp on a gig, I don't try to diagnose it there.

When I was gigging I carried an E-H Magnum 44 in my gear bag. Early on I carried spare tubes and fuses but realized if my amp went down I didn't have the luxury of stopping a set , taking off the back panel and trouble shoot tubes at a gig. Fortunately , my MAZ never went down.

One of each type of preamp tube, a diode and a full set of power tubes.

Crate power block also. It actually sounds pretty good.

I used to carry enough stuff to do a full build, but now I carry full restock of tubes, fuses and usually another amp, but usually play through two very different amps at the same time.

Power tubes, rectifier, fuses, phase inverter, 12ax7. Always a backup head for the quick fix.

I'm really surprised so many don't carry back up tubes

I have back up tubes but I don't bring them to church. If I had a failure I would plug directly into the board, finish the service and then trouble shoot the amp later. If I get back into regular gigs, I would carry back ups with me but would also travel with a back up amp so I could finish a set and then do my trouble shooting. I have a .22 Caliber on the shelf that I would use to limp through a set or if I had a second Z with me I would switch over. For church, not really a need, at least not right now. my 2 cents, Todd

Run two amps at shows, plus a .22 caliber for back up.

EH .22 caliber. Got a couple tubes in there as well because I never bothered to pull them out. As Frank said, I don't have time at a gig to try to troubleshoot a tube amp.

A couple of 12AX7s and a quad of 6V6s. Also an Orange Micro Terror as a quick and dirty backup. Thinking about bringing my #2 Z-Lux as a backup, too, and locking it in the van just in case.

DC here! For gigs with the Z-Wreck nothing For gigs with the Route66 - spare set of powertubes & EF86 & 12AX7 - fuses On local gigs there's at most a 10 minute drive to our rehearsal studio - where I can pick up one of my other amps. Cheers: Dixiechicken!
