"welded" to the board, Rik...I have a Xotic AC on the board for "sophisticated" OD, and the Clarksdale set for trashy OD. With these two, I can cover anything. Think of the Clarksdale as a widely adjustable (controllable) Tubescreamer....

Thanks. There is one for sale close by in MI on Reverb. I may have to grab it.

I have to say for a TS pedal this is by far the best I have ever tried. No fizz when you push it the tone stack gives you great versatility and it is very easy to work with. Great great pedal

I have one and It is very versatile however I will state that like all tube screamers it loves some amp and guitar combos and hates others. It definitely has that characteristically pronounced mid hump. A great take on that pedal though. Brian is a pretty cool guy too. I spoke to him twice at gearfest where he had to yell to talk to me and I still could barely hear him. He kept trying though!

I got one about a week ago. I've been using a Paisley Drive for a couple of years. There's a lot of love here on the forum for the Clarksdale so I thought I'd try one. I don't think it's basic OD sound is any better than the Paisley but it has a wider range of EQ and it's more straightforward to dial in. The PD is off the board.
Funny thing though. I bought an Ibanez Mini Tube Screamer yesterday and in it's limited range of tone it's as good as ANY TS pedal I've owned.....Paisley and Clarksdale included.

I know this isn't a thread about TS's but I totally agree about the new Mini. I can put it up against my original from the early 80's as well as my AnalogMan modded reissue and it holds its own very well.

Forgive me as I revive an old thread...I just did the same thing. I found a used one for a great price and just bought it, should be here by the end of the week. I dig that little Mini Screamer so this is going to take it's place on the front end of my board, right after the wah and tuner. I figgered if Lee, LT, and Zpilot and the rest of ya'all dig them I need one too...at least that's my self-justification.

The Clarksdale has been on my board about a week now, and I understand the love for it. Great sounding pedal, as a stand alone OD or a booster for either other pedals (it works GREAT driving my Lovepedal Jubilee or JTM) or just boosting the front end of my amp. Fantastic pedal, I really dig it.
