Any word on this release?
If Dr Z came out with a 1x15 cab I would be forced to buy one and a Z28 head to go with it.

I don’t think Dr. Z will take the bait, but ya never know. Anyway, because so few musicians use 15” speakers, purchasing a Dr. Z 1X12 Convertible Cab and then fabricating, or having someone else fabricate a new speaker-mounting baffle, is probably the shortest route to your desired destination. Ya might even try an Email to repairs@drzamps.com. But, if they can’t help, you’re on your own. The original baffle can be used as a template to create a new one. That will preserve the cab’s resale value, and the only adjustments to the new baffle will be the 15” Dia. hole, the 15” speaker mounting bolt-circle and attachment screw pattern, and threaded inserts. Surely, you could make it happen, somehow. You just need to determine how serious you are, and what you are willing to pay?

Doc was actually looking at releasing a 1x15 cab - just kind of hit the back burner with the release of the Cure and EMS.

Mojotone will make a new 15" baffle/grill for you if you don't feel like making it yourself. You can spec any cloth and piping you wish. I used to make these when needed but their pricing is so attractive I don't bother anymore. The first time you try to attach grill cloth you will understand. It will be MUCH cheaper than a complete cabinet.

If you think a 15" speaker cab would be nice with the Z28 (which it would), wait 'til you play an EZG-50 through one.

I have a custom Mather 1x15 cab with Emi Legend speaker I'd be happy to sell you. It's red/tan, an exact match for a Z red/tan head.

Peter Mather (Mather Amp Cabs) has built perfect, matching (sometimes custom) cabinets for members of this forum, me included. We all received excellent cabs at fair prices from him.

I tried my Surgical Steel through a 1x15 in Doc's shop - pretty sweet sounding.
