I think I may need to replace my rectifier tube in my Route 66. Any suggestions as to which variety I should purchase? Thank you!

Actually, a 5U4GB works well and sounds great in the Route 66. Produces a little more sag than a 5AR4, but I dig the E-H 5U4GB in my '66.
If you're looking to go 5AR4, though, I've heard that the Sovtek is tighter & punchy, and the Chinese ones will be a little softer & smoother.

and it will need rebiasing with the 5U4 as well.

NOS if you can find/afford one or Sovtek gets my vote.
