Anyone ever have the magnet just fall off the speaker. Have an eminence in a small combo I made and when I unpacked iit from a move the magnet was just Lying in the cabinet!

It's never happened to me , but I've heard of it. Must have taken a fall.

Bummer! Can you epoxy it back in place, or is the voice coil compromised?

I do remember it taking a fall in the garage before I unpacked it.

That's why I've heard...if you can, place your speaker cabinets facing down when you travel.

Yes. Many years (actually decades) ago. It was a PA speaker. In all fairness it was 20 degrees below zero in the trailer and I'm sure adhesives have greatly improved since then. I actually had two speaker magnets detach at the same time so I'm sure it was due to the temperature. I agree that the best way to haul them is face down if you can but that was the only instance I've ever had that happen.
The voice coil is most certainly trashed.
