Listening right now on Apple Music. Great sounding twangy guitars.

I picked up Marty's new album a couple of weeks ago and it has been getting constant play! Produced by Mike Campbell, it is a really great disk that could also be the sound track to a cool western movie! The more I listen to it the more I like it. If you like good old country music, you will LOVE this album. Plus there is some great B-Bender action on it. Here is one of my favorite tracks of the album. Skip to the 41 second mark to hear the song.

Mike Campbell and the Rickenbacker 12 string influence is ever-present....a good thing... You can hear Mike's influence all over the disk. At first, I kind of scratched my head at the pairing of Mike and Marty. But boy was I wrong! This is by far my most favorite song on the record. The B-Bender solo at the end is too amazing. The studio recording is full band, but I dig this acoustic version too:

I've listened to it a few times....and I have to admit, it hasn't reached out and grabbed me. The Mike Campbell producing influence is strong. Especially with the Ric 12 string, and the way it's played.
I do need give it a more going over. I ordered two CD's by other people at the same time, and those HAVE grabbed me. So I'll get back to the Marty CD soon.
