I've had problems over the last few years with the reverb on my 38. It was deep, lush, musical perfect. Then one day it just kinda died. I've replaced tubes,as recently as an hour ago. Had various tech's look at it,insisting it's fine. But it ain't!!!! I'm no tech,so any tips/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have replaced w/new pan in my 18 (1 wk)...tried tube configurations... newest/my 18 studio /reverb gets it right...its been a challenge that I can live (reg cab) with considering sound of amp...but at the end of the day it would really be nice to have it as solid as rest of performance.

So what you are saying is that it works but doesn't sound the way it used to sound and the techs don't have that original sound as a reference. Is that correct?

I wouldn't nessesarily say it "works". It doesn't really engage until around noon and then it's just this weird resonance,if that makes sense. Like some bad digital patch. It's kinda hard to describe. Just a harsh, crappy overtone. You know how a bad room sounds?? It's like that. Sorry for the poor description.

Now, mind you....I rolled it off and just played without it just now. I still LOVE the amp,it sounds glorious. I just miss that amazing Reverb.

Pans are cheap and so are the RCA cables. You can replace those yourself.
