I ordered two amps (they arrived Thursday) so I could run one for clean and one for my dirt sounds. This was a shorter gig where we played our heavier classic rock tunes so I just ran one Cure. I ran the volume and master full and kicked in the boost for leads using a Les Paul. A little delay and wah mixed in for a few leads as well. Very impressed with the tone. Plenty of volume! Level knob wasn't even half way up.
I couldn't stop smiling!
Looking forward to spending more time with the amps this weekend. Definitely have to re-think my pedal board. Didn't use many pedals!
Thanks for making such a great amp Doc!!!

Will you run the dirty Cure dry and the clean Cure wet?.....I love stereo setups....wet/dry.....together, separate.......looks awesome, sounds amazing.
Congrats on your Cure-ious pair.

Thanks simpleton!
I am going to try wet/dry. At first I was just thinking one at a time, but I like the thought of both in stereo. Going to be fun experimenting.

Thanks for making such a great amp Doc!!! Great report! What were your tone stack settings? Did the Boost give you enough lift in volume for solos? Hi Pete! Can't remember my exact tone stack settings, but I know the knobs were between 11-1 o'clock, nothing too extreme. Not much volume boost for the leads but a bump in gain/sustain and enough of a volume boost to be noticeable. But every sound out of the Cure is really nice and "musical"...now if only my talent could match the great tone...lol. Just had a thought, seems to me that the boost could be used to enhance the dynamics of a song, for example, off for the verses and kicked in on the chorus. I will try that next band rehearsal. K.O.T. has always been my lead boost, so I imagine I will continue to do that. Hope that makes sense. Cheers, Mike

I agree with the smile part. I can't say enough good about the archer ikon for solo boost. The Timmy does well also if you want to run the amp clean. But it sounds better cranked riding the volume
