So I'm picking up a Ghia soon! I have been wanting one since the early 2000's I have a line on one, I'm just not sure that it's going to come together.
I'm looking for a Ghia head, to run with a few different cabs. I've read about every thread I can find on it...it's just finding one!
I see the classifieds are locked here, how do I get into that thread?

I think that it's a months wait until you can get in there, to avoid spammers. After that period, ask Lefty for the access code.
The CG is a great amp, good luck on the hunt!

The ghia is one amp I have been wanting forever. I tried a maz18 awhile ago but didn't bond with it.
Next will be a speaker search either greenback, scumback or of course the blue.
I come from a loooong line of blackfac Amps so this might be a little different....hoping to find a good deal.
The one on reverb looks alright but a the whole tranny being bolted back on is a little scary.

If I understand the Two Note Captor you have the link too..... It has variable output to the mixing board. But your guitar speaker gets a fixed -20db? If I have this right, I have only one thing to say...It's a piece of gear for the studio...NOT for the stage! Fixed at -20db? That just won't work in a gig/band situation. I'd say go for the airbrake. (or brakelite)

I happen to really like using my BL with my Ghia. There is something that it does to the sound of the Ghia that is really pleasing to my ears. Even at the highest attenuation setting. Sounds a bit sweeter to me. But that is just one man's opinion, and of course YMMV.

They are sooo close to making a good priced load box/attenuator/cab sim that isn't $800....just not quite there.

It kind of smoothed off the upper edges a bit and warmed the tone a smidge. Not a huge improvement (it was already great) but noticeable and sweet. And, yeah... it'll be different from the blackface thing.

The brake light probably works great with a Ghia and that would be the way to take advantage of it's sweet power tube distortion, though I'd also add that the amp sounds good and clean at lower volumes and in that area takes pedals really well. Great amp! My favorite.
