Hi all, I finally got the chance to use my Z Lux this Wednesday night at music rehearsal. Wow, is this a different animal from the Ghia I have been using for so long. I really enjoy how punchy this amp is and the thick 3D cleans are really incredible. I even soloed on a couple of songs without any gain at all and really had nice sustain and texture. Was fun to play with. I was really impressed with how I was able to go from playing cords to soloing without changing anything except my pick attack. Very impressive. Mid tone control really steals the show on this amp. There is plenty of bottom end and and plenty to top end so playing around with the mid really changes things a lot. I think I am going to ask Patty to make a LED foot switch though. The buttons on the foot switch that came with the amp are really nice and cycle very easily but there is not enough feedback for me know to know if I hit it or not and I kept turning things on and then off because I wasn't sure if I hit the button. I am sure I will get used to it. I love the trem on this amp sooooo much. It is so clear and clean. Wow I really like it so far. I need to spend some time with it to get a feel for getting the amp to break up the way I want. Nice amp!! Todd

Glad you Like it Todd. Its been my main Church amp now for over a year. I have sold almost all my pedals. I rarely use them. The Z-lux really shines as you have experienced without pedals. That Boost is something that takes a little time to get use to. I set mine up for the edge of break up and then roll my Volume back on my guitar. Then when I want to solo just turn up. The Huge 3D big tone this amp puts out is what really blew me away. I been playing Vibro Kings with the 3/10 speakers for quite some time and I really liked the full tone that amp put out but when I got the Z-lux it blew the Vibro King away. Its thick like you said and real juicy when it overdrives. Its really warm and harmonic too. Enjoy!

Todd, how do you really feel about it? Glad it's working out so well for you!!! When I brought my Z-Lux to church last summer, the P/W leader's jaw just dropped. It really is a game changing amp live, and as you notice too, it doesn't require a pedal board to gig with. Great amp!

The funny thing is I have gotten really used to the sag in my tube rectified Ghia. The solid state rectifier in the Z Lux is so much punchier that it really surprised me.
