My KOT arrives tomorrow (before 8pm) according to USPS. Gonna be a long day of waiting. Ughhh. Just shy of 23 months for me. Got on the list Aug 1, 2016. I trust it will be so worth the wait though. The good news is if you don't like it, you can make several hunnerd when you resell it! I personally like my KOT and I'm on the list again for a backup.

Yes, I'm back on the list already as of this Tuesday Have a feeling I will love it and want another. That's obviously just a hunch, but based on me watching way too many videos online. And yes, resale is about as lucrative as it gets. As always, won't know till I get some time with it. On the truck for delivery. Woohoo!

Over the years for my musical style lighter toned overdrives just sound the most musical to me. I currently own the PoT and on the list for the KoT as well. I couldn't be happier after coming across the PoT and using it for some time now. Without naming other desirable overdrives I keep coming back to the PoT. I seem to try to make the other overdrives sound like the PoT or get trapped by not having a balanced tone sweep or having that blanket sound compared to the PoT. Mike really nailed it with the creation of the PoT and KoT. He has such a great line of analog effects.

I got on the list as well. I’m in no hurry. Plus the years roll by fast enough. Like others have said - It will be a pleasant surprise once it’s available And if I love it. Great. If not . Sold!

Is there anyway to know "where" on the list you are? How long of a wait is normal these days?

Is there anyway to know "where" on the list you are? How long of a wait is normal these days? He periodically updates the delay times on his website. Currently says “Status as of On todays date of July 23, 2018: King Of Tone is now shipping to people who got on the waiting list on or anytime before: Aug 14, 2016 (not 2017).”

Candidly, I’d rather have my name on a barrel of Makers Mark waiting for the day…

I just put my name on the list for the KOT. I’m in no rush and plan to be pleasantly surprised when I get the email that I’m next in line

I put myself on last December and got the POT in the interim. How do u like the POT? I’m in no rush for a drive, but for $245 it seems as though the KOT is worth it to see what the fuss is about. I have a tumnus deluxe, ocd, and Timmy which have kept me satisfied as far as drives are concerned. Don’t know which I’d boot for the POT.

I've been on the KOT waiting list for a long time but became impatient and bought a new one on the spot market. The OCD was off my board the day after I received the KOT. I set the left side to be a slight overdrive for humbuckers. At that setting it is a perfect boost for single coils. The right side is also set as an overdrive but with increased gain. This is the closest thing to increasing the gain on my Z-Plus that I've ever used. Truer to the original tone than the tone bypass boost. My board became instantly quieter also, even with all effects bypassed.

Glad the KOT is kicking some arse for u!

I sold my ocd.

What amazes me about trying the KoT is it's like your getting paid to try it considering it's not what your after. If you don't like it you make a $200 profit for the effort regardless. I say that assuming you use a no reserve auction without gouging people into paying more:). It just is what the market still is on the KoT.
