Either:
Barber Burn Unit EQ and RC boost
Or:
Barber Gain Changer, Fulltone Plimsoul, Creation Audio Labs boost

I use three pedals for varying levels of gain: Keeley Blues Driver -> Fulltone Plimsoul -> J Rockett Melody.
The BD-2 is almost always on for girth. The Plimsoul is for chording with distortion (think Neil Schon of Journey). The Melody is an OD/EQ pedal and adds a lead boost with a smidge of mids.
Of the dozens or so amps I've owned throughout the years, my Maz 18 is by far the best at playing well with gain pedals, and the OD's/Distortions are exactly what I've always heard in my head.

Really loving the J Rockett "Dude" pedal into the MAZ 18. It's a dumble-like pedal and can go into heavy overdrive or simply make the amp blossom more than it already does on its own.
If it interests you, Shawn Tubbs does a very good demo of the Dude on YouTube:

The Melody is the Dude and an EQ in one pedal. It's extremely versatile.

I run a small home studio, where I record local bands, as well as all my own projects. And I always end up using my maz with pedsls at some point during the sessions, and have yet to find a drive pedal that doesent sound nice with it. Fuzzes, distortions, overdrives. Anything! My favoutites are OCD, blackstone mosfet overdrive, rat and earthquaker hoof.

The main overdrive I use with my Maz, Cure, Therapy and Fender clones is a Barber Dual Discrete with both channels being a Barber Direct Drive Super Sport. Occassionally, I use Fuchs Dual Plush Drive, that some people like better witht the Maz.

OCD, Wampler Plexidrive, Simble, and a Flying Dragon to push them all when needed. If I could play out would just be FD OCD and Maz

I use two: (1) RYRA Klone, Great medium to absolute zero drive to cleanest of the clean boosts. For what it's worth everyone claims to have the best "Klone" but this one rally delivers. I actually had the opportunity to play a Klon like the one in the link I attached and to be honest, if I hyper focused on slight near indiscernible differences then maybe they're not exact (because nothing truly is) but this one is frighteningly close. At $170-213 used/new you can't beat it.
(2) Matchless Hot Box 3, this is a much more expensive option than the previous suggestion $450 new, used pricing is between $400 to $600 depending on how many are available. Now that that's out of the way, this is an exceptional pedal and definitely worth the money. All things considered, you have to be aware of what this is, it's not an overdrive pedal but a tube pre-amp. I use it for drive and alternate cleans, Channel ! is clean, Matchless style jangle and sparkle, you can drive it but its a lot of volume, much like an amp; glorious drive when driven. Channel 2 is all drive, from mild break up to full blown tube nirvana.
When stacked (Klone/Ch.2) it's gain and sustain for days. I attached a video of each pedal for your enjoyment.

JHS Double Barrel. The Morning Glory side just adds a bit "more" and the Moonshine side is their most recent take on the a Tube Screamer but with a clean blend

I use several and they all sound amazing. My favorite are the Pettydrive v2 and the JRad "the Dude". I use a Tim a lot as an always on pedal and boost, and i use a MI Audio Crunchbox with the presence turned down for a higher gain, thick creamy distortion. I actually have never tried one that didnt work with the Maz. Such a killer amp. I miss it like a girlfriend when im away. Lol, i really do.

I use a menatone red snapper and analogman prince of tone, a fulltone fulldrive and a triangle big muff. These cover most anything I would need, and the fulldrive is mostly used as a mid focus boost for the other sounds.

Timmy as always on, and Jetter Red Square to overlay on top of that for more grit.

I have an older Maz Jr 2x10, circa early 00s. I found some really sweet spots with the Vol ~3 o'clock for just a bit o'grit, and then rolling in a Barber Direct Drive. My fave though is the TIM pedal... but mostly I use just the amp's own natural cranked tone.

Here are the flavours / possibilities:
Timmy (always on) > Diamond compressor (as needed for for clean boost, jazz, comping) > Barber 1/2 Gainer (channel 1 for a bit of hair, crunch, not quite clean solo, channel 2 is more of channel 1 for solos) > Plimsoul (full on gain for Santana stuff, killer for slide)

Boss sd1W, bd2w, Wampler Pantheon and an Xotic EP booster... like them all. I think any OD pedal would work fantastic with a Maz.
