I recently got a gig for a funk/fusion band that does about 150 shows a year. I have found over the past few months that my current amp has just not been cutting it. I originally wanted something very different, but I went to a store with a fantastic selection (Fuchs, Carol-Ann, Matchless, Mesa etc) and the Z-Lux was just calling out to me. What a fantastic sounding amp.
I will be going back in today to pick it up. I actually have to have it shipped to my house in Albany NY (currently down in Atlanta for a few surgeries) and won't get to actually gig it until the 30th, but I'm very excited to lock it down.
The only two things that concern me about the amp are the lack of an FX loop and that I'm not totally sold on the use of 2 separate footswitches and lack of LEDs on said footswitches. I'll be testing a bunch of usually loop-placed pedals in front of the amp today and I'm sure it'll soothe my worries. And I'll get used to the footswitch situation.
The clean tone, reverb, tremolo, the feel of the EQ, the headroom, it's all great. Really just can't wait for this thing to be a part of my rig.

Welcome to the Z fellowship. Z-Lux is a great amp. My #1 for gigging these days. (Mostly blues and rock.) Pedals work great, but I don't have time-based effects other than delay.
There's a thread somewhere here in the Z-Lux section discussing the r/t foot switch. Think it has a DIY discussion for creating a switch with LED indicator.
Did you get a combo or head?

Going with the combo for two reasons. One is that they don't have the head where I'm picking it up. Second is I prefer to just lug one thing on the road instead of two. I do need to make sure the amp can handle some real serious wet reverb (from a pedal), but I'm sure it won't be an issue due to how clean you can keep the preamp even at high volumes.

Welcome to the Forum - a lot of great people and information here. The Z-Lux is one of my favorite Zs (and I have a few!) Extremely versatile, especially with the boost switch. Why would you want to use a reverb pedal - this amps sounds good with its own reverb.

Good call on the combo, with the new Z cab and the Z12 speaker in there the Lux sounds amazingly huge, open, and 3D like. Enjoy and welcome to the forum!

Why would you want to use a reverb pedal - this amps sounds good with its own reverb. Some of what my band does requires reverb that you just can't do with what's inside an amp. We're talking very long decay times and relatively high mix. I also use shimmer from time to time. My band does a lot of textural improvising and it's something I probably reach for at least once a show. I currently use a Strymon Blue Sky for this stuff.

I like the LEDs on the pedals. I build my own. (Not as quiet as the good Doctor's pedals - you can hear when i step on them.)
You will love the amp!!! The Doctor built a beast with the Z-Lux!
