I bought my Maz 8 primarily for use in church, so I could get all the tone with controllable volume (great taste, none of the calories). Now that I've been using in for a few weeks, I gotta say this "little" amp has all the sweet stuff I love about a Maz. It's just an amazing tone monster. I get tons of great feedback from the band. It sits just right in the mix, and is just a pure pleasure to play.
Thanks to Doc for making it possible to have awesome tone, even in a "sensitive" volume environment.

^^^^I have to agree that my experience gets better as well each time I play through that amp. I really like the Z-12 in that box.

C-Gold here. My 8 is going to get a lot more playing time than anything else I own. Manageable volume/great tone.

Was just playing mine and getting some great tone for slide work from it. Pentode or triode mode? I've messed around a little playing slide with mine on triode and I can see it's going to work out nice.

Great amp! I love mine on triode mode as well. Such good, warm tone.

I've had my MAZ 8 since August. Been playing it at least 2 hrs a day since I got it. I'm pretty new to all this, so I don't have a lot of experience with different amps. But it seems to me that the MAZ 8 has got to be maybe the most versatile amp on the market. I downloaded doctorice's MAZ 18 settings (thanks dr. ice) and tried a whole bunch of different combinations of vol., M vol., tone stack, cut, hi / lo input and brake lite with an `07 studio with stock B.buckers. There are so many good tones in this amp it's silly. But wait.... there's more! The VBFS. I picked up a Blue Note and a Gain Changer. I love `em. They 're great pedals. But I can get an overdrive tone with the VBFS that's just as good.... maybe better (under certain circumstances). All that being said, this little bit of info from the good Dr. "A cool low cost 1x12 6V6 combo" has got me thinking maybe these things are like potato chips... you can never have just one.

I know the feeling... I thought with both my MAZs I had found "my tone" and was "set for life". Now I'm thinking that 18 2x10" is mighty heavy, I'm getting older, I've always wanted a Z-Lux but don't need tremolo or reverb, it's really fairly priced... ah.

Face it. It's a perfect fit. Resistance is futile.
