I got some of these from one of the better vender's "preferred series 7025"...they breakup very nicely at higher amp settings...cant wait to see live though...nice v1 alternative...

I put these in a customer's Fender Hot Rod Deluxe about a year ago. We liked the way they sounded. The one in V1 location went microphonic about 3 months ago. We swapped the tube around with one in a less critical spot and everything is OK so far. I'd buy them again but the price of these are getting close to ANOS tubes.

They tout that these are close to 60's mullard?

Of course they do. Please excuse my attempt at humor. I actually have a vintage 1964 Ampeg Gemini 1 with the original tubes. Three of them are Mullard 12AX7's and they test good and I believe they don't have much time on them from what I know about the history of the amp. I tried them in my MAZ 18 and they are really nice sounding tubes. Not at all harsh but still articulate on chords. I can see why they would use them as a standard. I plan on selling the Ampeg sometime in the not-to-distant future and those tubes will stay with me.
