Hi Guys Is there any downside to having the rev and trem always on and just dialed to 0 when not needed. I only use the trem for 2 songs, and keep the rev almost unnoticeable. I'd rather not have the extra pedal in front of me (i have nice sized board and both set up time and floor space are at times at a premium!) and would prefer to just have both effects available via the knobs.
Does the amp perform any differently with them off as opposed to just dialed all the way back?
Also, same question for the JAZ 20/40?
Thanks DickieG Tampa.

I don't know the answer, but that's a great idea. I use just a touch of reverb from the amp so it's always on for me. I do use some trem here and there, but like others, without an led on the pedal I have nothing to tell me when it's on or off. That would appear to solve that problem, except when I might want to switch the trem on and off during a song. Hmmm. That's definitely some food for thought.

I run mine like that sometimes, and I haven't noticed any degradation in the tone. Try it, you'll like it! What I do is just take an RCA plug that I have shorted out. Plug it into the Tremolo foot switch spot and you're good to go. No need to take the pedal with you.

I never even take the trem pedal with me live. I use a touch of reverb as well. I am not sure if it alters the tone.

After premiumplus(Dave) explained to me what a shorted plug was, I ordered a couple. I have noticed no change in tone whatsoever, and it is super handy to just turn the knobs up or down for the reverb and trem. At first I had a plug inserted into both the trem and reverb jacks, but this made the reverb not work. All you need is a shorted plug in the trem jack. Thanks Dave for the advice.
