I've used Studio Slips and D2F bags before. Both are nice.
Anyone have a good place to buy a reasonably priced padded dust cover for my new Z-Lux head? Padded nylon with a bottom strap would be nice.

Only one that I know of with a bottom strap is Studio Slips. She sells a dust cover that's less expensive than the padded covers.

I really like the bottom strap. Dust cover vs. padded cover? I wonder if the padded cover "really" does anything more to protect the amp. I mean, if you bang a 40 lb. amp into a building corner or something, I don't think 1/8" or less of padding is going to provide much protection.

I can vouch for the protection of the padded cover at Studio Slips. I had many encounters moving my combo around. No evidence on the amp....the cover showed some scuffs and kept the amp beautiful.

I've thought about that myself , but from experience the padding does seem to offer more protection. Just a little more in a direct hit situation , but it seems to deflect scuffing and banging into a corner much better than a non-padded cover IMHO.

I've been purchasing from Larry at Le Cover. Reasonable prices and for me I can pickup locally deal in cash for a nice price. He'll accommodate the strap and do most anything you need. A good guy. lecover.com

I do think the padded covers offer more protection, but all I ever get are the dust covers with the bottom strap from Susan at studio slips. Great products from a great lady IMO.

I got the padded Studio Slips cover in brown, with the accessories pouch option. I store the 2 footswitches and power cord in the pouch. The pouch is zippered.

I've got Studio Slips from Susan for all my Z amps. She's a great businesswoman and very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended.

I usually get mine off evilbay and I get the D2F covers. Great piece, quality, customer service and product all around!
