I have been looking for an amp for a band member and found a lightly used Therapy for a good price. He decided he didn't want to spend the $$$ at this time... so I bought it. I'll update after it arrives.

Great amp. Let us know how you like it once you get it.

It's a great amp. I'm loving mine more now than when I first got it. I've had mine a year and 8 months so far and have been using Weber ceramic Blue Dog 50watt speaker with it. Very versatile...like a more American MAZ in the way it covers sound.
Sounds great with all my guitars but the Strat and Therapy are wonderful together

I love my Therapy. Great cleans, over drives real nice and with the master volume you can use it anywhere.
Nice choice!

Congrats. Which speaker(s) will you be using with the Therapy? And guitar(s)?

I have more guitars than I deserve ... Probably use a couple strats, a PRS DGT and PRS studio and a 335. I have been using a 1x12 with a WGS Green Beret, a 2x12 THD cab with 2 Green Beret speakers (I like this speaker with my Maz and Ghia) and a Theile cab with a Celestion classic lead (great with the Maz ... don't like it with the Ghia). I also have an Avatar alnico 25 watt on the way (might be okay with the Therapy as long as Idon't max out the volume). I'm going to try these before considering anything else...but I'm open to suggestions.

I have a 1/12 cab with the Z speaker and it sounds really good with it. Put the master at 12 the bass at 10 the mids and treble at about 2 volume at 12. You will get a fat warm crunchy tone and then roll back your volume for in between and clean tones. I really like my therapy I been gigging My Z-lux but im going to have to take the therapy out soon. It sounds so rich and warm just a great tone in this amp. And the Master volume is excellent. Great tone from the bedroom to the stage.

UPS says it's on the truck out for delivery! I have a gig tonight right after work, so I won't have a chance to try it out until tomorrow. I'll probably take it along for a gig tomorrow and try it out on the job. I'll definitely be looking for favorite amp settings on this forum.

I haven't found a favorite setting....The bass knob is unique feeling. To me the MV, Bass, V are the three first things I think about and set, then I mix in M and T for feel and taste a little at a time...it's gonna sound good any way you go but this amp has ALOT of nuances in the tone knobs and you can really paint a tone with them as you get use to them.
I really like B M T all at 9 O'clock MV as loud as I can be and add V to level of Crunch. Sometimes I goose the T for a more country feel sometime I goose the M for a more British vibe. This amp sounds full bodied.
the B knob will both warm and round the highs as well as add low end grunt...
the M adds chime and sparkle
the T can get you full on Roy Buchanan and early Buddy Guy feel and can get that sharpness that I liked in Fender Twin
The V also adds highs and so as my V goes up sometimes I drop out M and T....with just the B and V one can get great tone for slide
you might just have to much fun with this amp...I hope so.

Got the amp safe and sound... Looks new and came with a nice cover (nice suprise). I'll post pics later. It arrived before my tubes ... I plan to use it tonight on a gig, but will have my Maz with me as well.
Simpleton -- Thanks for the settings suggestions.

Used it on a gig with a 2x12 cab loaded with two WGS Greenberets... Sounded good with a strat. I was told the gig volume would go up as the night progressed ... That really didn't happen, so my set up a bit of an overkill ... I'm still trying to dial in a tone... But was not unhappy with what I had. I went ahead and ordered the WGS Veteran 30 (their Viersion of the Vintage 30) because I can never leave well enough alone. Here's a pic of the Therapy ...

IMO all a man needs to gig with is a Therapy and a 1/12 Z convertible cab. I have a 2/12 but it never gets touched.
I've settled in with these settings: MV to appropriate level, B-12 o'clock, M-all the way up (you heard right lol), T-2 o'clock and V-11 o'clock. I've found that I can cover country, blues and rock with my Tele on those settings.

ss Shane ... Yes, the 2X12 was WAY overkill for the venue. I used it the night before for a larger (LOUDER) outdoor gig and it sounded great with my Maz 18NR. I don't use it very often and my 1X12 cab would have been a better choice ... but the 2X12 was already in the car.
Walt -- That picture must have been after our sound check, before the Patrons came in. The settings stayed about the same with a tweak or two, except for the Master ... I had to drop the MV quite a bit.
I have next weekend off, so will update after that.
Thanks everyone!

NMZ -- Good to know. I really like WGS speakers... and the price is nice.
Yesterday, took a little time with my Therapy and a 1X12 loaded with a WGS Green Beret and an attenuator. I also experimented with my pedal board settings. Just a few tweaks and this amp sounded amazing! I found the Master volume helpful, but the attenuator really helped pushing those power tubes ... what a great amp!

Do yourself a favor next time you play out with your Therapy...turn the mids all the way up and see how it sits in the mix. I never give setting suggestions, but the mids on the Therapy is like no other. Trust me on this one and you can thank me later!

Got the WGS Vet 30 speaker... Sounds really good. Not a huge difference between the Green Beret and the Vet 30 at lower volume with a strat, but it does sound quite a bit better with my 335. Nice!!!!

Mids = Secret Sauce on this amp!
I don't know what style of music you play, or if you use pedals, but I LOVE the V around 11, and hit the front end with a very clean boost (RC in my case)............. or an EP indeed. The Therapy loves it and it enhances those singing harmonic overtones. Very cool!
