Ok, I HAVE to find out Brad Paisley's guitar / amp / pedal combo when he recorded "Today". Simply amazing to my ears! It's the simple fill in lead licks on the first verse that grabbed my attention. The song itself is great, but the overall mix and tone is simply perfection. For a tone junky like myself I didn't even notice the lyrics until the second time of listening. The last time that happened to me was the first time I heard SRV.
I have to be humbly honest here, Paisley's tone is the best in the biz. I believe he does for country guitar tone and feel what SRV did for Texas Blues.

That could be anything. Sounds Z-Wreckish to me but it could be a DB4 or even a Trainwreck.
Im a Paisley fanboi as well. As a matter of fact I have my ZWreck and RX Jr pulled out this weekend and toying around with Paisley's Cars soundtrack tunes.
I'll have the DB4 next month so I'll have the trifecta !

Hey KeithA, I was so anxious to post after listing to "Today" I didn't even realize you just posted a similar thread lol.
Paisley has huge success as an overall modern country artist, but I feel like he is under-rated as a guitar player. What I mean is this; if I ask my wife who Brad Paisley is she would tell me he's a famous country music singer. If I ask her who BB King, SRV or Eric Clapton are she would tell me they are famous guitar players.

I can't speak for anything except the amp. It is his DB 4 . 90% of his new CD is DB 4, according to Brad.

If that's a DB4 then I have an idea for my next quest. I need to read up on it some more. Thanks DRZ

Which amaZing amp/s of Doc's was he using on the album. I especially love the nasty tone he has on 'Contact High'

Yeah - as an owner of both the new album and a DB4, I can pretty much assure you I'm hearing my amp all over that album. Thank god you hear none of my playing!
