i recently asked the bassist in my band "did you ever meet Dave Schriver, the local bassist who'd played with Eddie Cochran and Trini Lopez?" He said, "yeah. the one time i met him, i'd just finished playing bass at a local blues jam and all he said to me was 'hey man... if you wanna be a guitarist, you should play the guitar.'... he was an @ssh8le!" LOL
