Its going to be a long 3 months waiting for this one! I'm from Canada (Calgary, AB) and the lead time is typically 12 weeks or more for a Z to arrive here at Long & McQuade.
The ordering process was somewhat tedious, but surely well worth it. When placing the order the only options I was given by the store was Black Tolex w. Tan Grill - I really want one of those blackout style combo's. Black everything; tolex, grillcloth, logo, knobs etc. I ended up having them do up a special order request for me with those specs. Hopefully the Doc and his crew can accommodate.
Another reason for the special order was to ensure that the amp I receive is one of the new 2016 lineup style Maz 8's. There's a chance that, had I ordered a stock version, Long & McQuade may have sent me an amp that they'd had sitting in a stock warehouse; still new but possibly from pre-2016.
Looking forward to adding this to the gear lineup! The Maz 8 for smaller gigs and my Ghia for the bigger (louder) ones!

Congrats !
Yeah, that's the quirk about ordering Zs from L&M. Many of the people working at the stores aren't familiar with the line. Except for my DB4 I just ordered I ordered a of my previous 7 amps through L&M. In the end I'm sure you'll get the amp you want.
Im not a fan of black amps, in general, but I have to admit I do like the vibe of the blackout on the Zs!

Welcome to the Forum, and great choice on the Maz 8. I bet it'll look great all blacked out. I know it's going to sound great!

Joe, glad to hear you're getting the one you want. The Black out is very cool looking. When I got mine, I almost went for the blackout. Ended up getting the black w/ Z wreck grill. You're going to love this amp. It's incredibly versatile.

Howdy from Slave Lake!! I ordered mine from L&M,Edmonton South. It was the Studio combo they had in stock in Ontario. Mine is a Febuary,2015 model. I'm guessing that it was one they had in a larger order, just waiting for someone in Canada to snatch it up!! It got here in a couple of weeks, and it's been my #1 ever since. My MAZ 38 is incredible, but isn't as grab-n-go as the studio combo. Mine is a black cabinet, but not Blackout. It's got the nice cream knobs. Congrats on the 8!!
