My therapy arrived today and all I can say is wow what a fantastic amp. It has such a warm blooming tone. I tried what Simpleton suggested and put the master all the way up and the volume at 9 and tested each tone knob to hear the eg sections different shades. Very cool thanks brother! I just got it a hour ago and I am still feeling it out but now I know why everyone loves this amp. It's got a great tone and feel too it. I already really like it. I will post some pics later. But thank you all for hyping up this amp. It's def worthy of all the hype. Dr. Z you continue to amaze me with these amps you continue to build that always exceed my expectations . Thanks again.

Then set the V at noon, and do the same, then set it at 3 o'clock and yet again..........you have at least 3 different amps in that box!!

The EQ's all set at nine O'clock seem like neutral or ground zero...and then Everything after that seems like boost or flavors or styles.

I forgot how nice and lightweight these cabs are. Still have that big sound though.

You'll be feeling that amp out for more than a couple of hours, my brother...and they're going to be fun hours too. The Therapy tone stack, like the Maz, is chock full of different tones. A full suite of sound. Have fun!

I was going to say that you need to become better friends with that treble knob. Then, I saw the Strat...

Where do you usually keep your treble knob set at with a strat right now Im using the settings Dave baker used in the video with the strat. Master volume 12 bass 10 mids 1 treble 2 Volume 10 I can bring the master down for bedroom playing and still get a nice clean tone.

I'm using 'buckers, so my treble knob is usually up around 2 or 3 o'clock. Mids around noon, too. If I'm feeling saucy and I pull out the Tele, I usually back the treble down to about noon. Speaker makes a huge difference.

I swapped out V1 It had a JJ in it I put tung sol 12AX7 in it but ended up going back to the JJ it sounds better. Fatter much better overdrive and break up with the JJ the Tung sol sounded brighter.

Bass 9 o'clock Mids 9 o'clock Treble 2 o'clock Volume 2 o'clock Master to taste but I was being quiet around 9 o'clock Buddy Guy Strat tones....don't be afraid of the Treble even with the Strat...also that Roy Buchanan Tele thing can happen.....you can tame the highs with a bit more Bass but keep that blown out treble thing that guys like Buddy Guy gets on that early Vangaurd Records stuff The Volume adds highs as well as gain...Therapy plus Z Verb equals extra happy patient

Strat sounds real snappy. Try these MV 9 o'clock B 1030 M 1130 T 2 o'clock V 10 o'clock Beefy strat tones

I've really settled in at:
Master: Noon Bass: 9:00 Mids: Noon Treble: 2:00 Volume: Noon
Gives a nice dirty sound that you can hit with an overdrive to take over the top, or roll back the guitar volume to clean up. I can easily see how someone could run two Therapy's, one for cleans and one for dirt.

Congrats Randy! What a great amp. You have two of Doc's sweetest designs, in my opinion. Now all you need is a Z Wreck to complete the trifecta!
