Here's a clean tone clip with my Les Paul plugged straight into a Z28 stock with 2x10s. I was improvising over a loop loosely based on the chord progression of the Sara Smile chorus. I literally recorded it with my Samsung phone, but you still can still get an idea of the bluesy clean tone available through a 28. All of the knobs are below noon. Smooth! I love me some LP into the Z-28. In fact, I happen to think that all of Doc's signature 3-knob EF86 amps (M12 all the way up through the Delta 88) are best appreciated using the more muscular Gibson-style instruments.

Wow, thanks folks. I really appreciate the kind words! One day I'll invest the proper recording equipment to give you better sounds.
Hey, Bad Poodle, thanks for listening to my other clips. You might be interested to know that I used my Gibson SG w/P90s into a Mini Z pushed with an EP Booster for the Can't You Hearing Me Knocking riff on my page. The tune I call Sunrise Pickin was through the 28.

a Les Paul and a Z28 . . . the sustain available between the 2 of those is almost unfair!

Nice John, thanks for posting. Nice warm tones. The Z 28 is still one of my favorite designs.
