walked in the door today after work, checked reverb there it was just listed 2 hours ago so I made an offer and they accepted. Probably not even shipped yet. Its black which is my color too! Free shipping and the cheapest one that has been sold on reverb to date so I am stoked.

I've been jonesing for a delivery truck to stop by my house lately.....glad you will be seeing that happy occasion. Same here ! I've been looking to get a new Z for a while now. I was tempted by the Z-Lux and the DB-4 but managed to suppress, the urge! Looking forward to see what the mystery amp is from Mini Z-Fest.

I was tempted by the Z-Lux and the DB-4 but managed to suppress, the urge! Looking forward to see what the mystery amp is from Mini Z-Fest. Will it be the EL34 amp that was talked about earlier this year? Any ideas? I've almost been holding out to see what the next design is just to make sure I don't spill my beans to early....not that I'm patient really, but Dr. Z has been on a roll with the last few amps....Therapy, ZLux, DB4, Surgical Steel....really besides the ZLux all new outside the normal Z Box amps and I'm sure the ZLux will partner with the MAZ 18 to be a life time top seller. The DB4 really interest me too but I'm playing out less and I have the Therapy for bigger volume needs....really the Therapy has kept me from buying other amps by sounding so awesome and being quite flexible.....I just wanted a smaller combo to take to my dads or friends or a little jam....reverb and having a boost for soloing, what more would I really need....if I had to have tremolo or fuzz I could toss them in my gig bag and use 9V batteries to run them but theses days I really don't NEED anything...its just a strong WANT. I want a MAZ 8.....but someone has a Collings 290 listed locally on craigslist for $1650 !! But a new MAZ.......or maybe that '97 PRS McCarty I saw on Reverb for $1250.....but a new Z always makes me happy and new guitars seem to always remind me that no instrument does everything....which might have to do with the player

Congrats on the Z-28. It's a wonderful amp. Takes pedals just fine, but plugging straight in is a treat too. (Brake Lite helps tame output volume.)

i no longer have a strat but i do have a mustang special that i love which is currently serving as my single coil guitar. i really want to play a tele through it. i have been cranking it straight in minus the archer with heavy attenuation and rolling tones on the guitar. I am in love

my new z28 has the tube chart for the carmen ghia posted inside the cabinet. do they have the same size chassis or something? universal cab's? Fluke?....weird Not a "fluke" necessarily, as the Carmen Ghia, Z-28, Mini-Z, M12, and Monza all share the exact same size chassis/head/cabinet. If you bought it used, there's a chance that a previous owner swapped the chassis into a different head-shell in order to change the color (or to go from a combo to a head, etc.). Many Z-players do this, in order to get their favorite color-combination; in my experience it doesn't hurt resale value or anything else for that matter.
