I bought this amp as soon as it came out and truly love it. Played it out many times and it hasn't failed me. I don't even really use any pedals any more with the boost feature. One thing that I wish it had more of is reverb. My 66 Vibrolux I used to own had much more of a surfy reverb and this amp just doesn't get as deep as an old Fender. Has anyone tried switching out the reverb tank to get some more reverb out of the amp? Every now and then I like that full on surf sound and I just can't seem to get it straight out of the amp.

Haven't tried anything yet. I am getting my Cure on Wednesday and I have a Topanga reverb pedal that I am going to try in the effects loop. I don't play with the reverb above about 10'oclock when I play out but just wanted more of a surf thing for screwing around at home.

My Z Verb solved all my Reverb dreams.... [/a][/quote] I would LOVE to get the Z-Verb but I really don't want another piece of gear to lug around to gigs.

For some reason, I don't really use reverb live....mostly at home. Really I just wanted to show off my Z Verb

Well, I tried out the MOD 9AB3C1B [Long (16 ¾") 3 Spring Unit , Long Decay (2.75 to 4.0 seconds)] Didn't like it. It didn't get me more drip or boing, just more cavernous reverb, some nice sounding artifacts and great texture but not what I was looking for. Also, as I thought it would, it introduced a lot of hum because of how long the pan is and where it was sitting in the head. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to live with my Subdecay Super Spring Theory pedal until I decide to buy a Z-Verb or a Spaceman Orion.
