The Tung Sols have been getting good reviews. I just replaced mine with JJ's but may try those next time around.

I think this is one of those amps designed around a specific tube.ie, remedy. Thats not to say you can;t use other tubes as you can and EL34 as well..but I find that the JJ's sound as good as anything else, are for the most part not too expensive and are pretty much tough as nails. So I am back to the stock tubes. I find speaker choice is key to this amp and getting the sound that you want.

I'm back to JJ's as well. I tried some TAD short bottles that were nice, but the JJ's seem to have a little better hi midrange/treble response to them.

Thanks for the answers-I was just playing for a few minutes, and am happy with what the JJ's are doing, just curious.I have fairly standard-everyday settings for mid 70's classic rock-ish sound(which is ironic, since i listen mostly to other era's of rock and roll)and have 2 well broken in speaker's,and am happy with the results.Just can't stop fiddling with things I guess.
