Happy M12 owner here. But today I went into a couple of local guitar shops to try out a few amps. Haven't done that in a while. I mainly intended to try out the 65/68 princeton and deluxe reverbs. Rarely see Z's on the sales floor here. While those amps were ok, they didn't hold a candle to the M12. Some settings were ok and some settings were downright awful. Too much bass, not enough bass, ice pick highs or rattling cabs. A handwired Dr Z is the only way to go. My M12 doesn't have a bad setting!

Ah, the joys of amp shopping in St. John's ! Yep, rare to see a Z here on the floor. I haven't ordered a new Z in a while from L&M. That may change later in the year with a DB4....we'll have to see.
BTW, if you are ever curious about a new Z I have a few here you can try out before you take the plunge.....if you go down that road !

Yes the 1st Z I saw on the floor was the M12 that I ended up buying. Saw a red Therapy head there a while back but I never tried it. Was considering a new amp to run with my M12 but no luck. I have a Fulltone amp switcher to run 2 amps together. Thanks for the offer to try out some "real" amps! How many do you have?

Nice group photo! Almost bought a Z Wreck combo online. I have loads of pedals. Here's a few. Maybe I should sell a few towards a new Z! However, they do sound good through the M12. Nice volume for playing in the house.

Ha! That's 2 different boards. I have the Archer to boost the .45 caliber on my small board. I like to use it to kick things up a notch. The Klon is serving the same purpose on the other board. Its on that board because its too big to fit on the smaller board! If you notice, they have almost the same settings.

Gotcha. I've got a Mythical Overdrive that's a great sounding Klone but I sometimes have the Timeline vs charge pump noise interference deal .. However my Timeline likely isn't going anywhere so my Klone hasn't been seeing the light of day very often lately. Sigh.
