The title says it all. This afternoon for fun I hooked my MONZA combo up to my EVM-12L Thiele cab and wahoo daddio. What a crankin' combination. The cleans were simply amazing, I've had the combo amp for over a year and never once imagined the sounds that it can make. Really good cleans, I mean really, really nice! Then when I cranked the Volume up to around 12:30 and the Drive to 1:00 it got truly outstanding. Tight, firm, solid bass and clearly defined mid/high distortion that has this presence to it...it's unworldly. I always have loved that amp with the 10" Red Fang combo setup, but wow...it's kind of hard to go back now! If you've got the chance, try that combination. It's truly amazing.

Very nice! The Monza seems to be most sensitive to speaker changes, in a good way. I've tried about six different speakers with mine and each time I find a new batch of tones.

When I had my Theil I had a Mesa. I didn’t care at all for it, too hifi, not much character. But that’s pretty much why I gave up Mesa amps. I won’t buy another one, but I would like to hear it with other amps.

My experience with the Thiele EVM12L cab is that it'll give pretty much whatever it gets from the amp. It does tend to add a little bottom end to the amp's sound but aside from that they seem pretty neutral. I love putting my Monza 1x10 combo on top of the Thiele cab and run it as a mini stack. It's a killer sound with the Red Fang 10". Puts 4x12s to shame!

The Mesa's are hard to beat. I got mine and moved it on for around $225.

I agree about the Mesa Thiele w EV. It's pretty hard to beat it with any other single 12 cab....although it's HEAVY. Dave's original description is spot on. I too sold mine several years ago when I decided it was just too heavy (I had it in an Anvil case too!).
