So I finally finished my slant 2x12 cabinet project. I wanted this to match my Therapy that Santa brought me 2 Xmas's ago. I bought the basic slant 2x12 cab (unfinished) from TRM Guitar Cabs ( TRM Cabs). I bought the burled walnut veneer from Bob Morgan at Veneer Factory Outlet ( Veneer). I'm not a woodworker by any stretch of the imagination, and have what I'd call "standard" homeowner tools. My 15 year old daughter helped me, and this probably took 3 weekends (including screwing up with first veneer by staining it dark). I basically stained the pine cab with MinWax espresso polystain then satin clear poly over that. Glued the veneer to the baffle board, cut the holes, then did "wet sanding" with linseed oil, then about 6 coats of clear shellac, sanding in between coats. Got all the info on YouTube and Bob Morgan's site -- I've never veneered anything before in my life. The speakers are basically the Z Best setup -- Vintage 30 on top and H30 on the bottom. The grill cloth is fabric from JoAnns fabric store. I think it turned out pretty good for a first try, and matches up nicely with the Therapy.

Wow! Usually I'm not impressed by most homemade projects, but that is awesome! Good job!
