May 6th marks the anniversary of a dear friend of mines death, Michael Burks. Mike was very generous to my wife and I over the 14 years we knew him. We were blessed to see and hear the band play many times, including our wedding. Mike wanted to make sure he was there for our day, so we planned it around him being in the area. They blew the roof off the place. Any way, I thought I'd share a pic of one of his rigs over the years, this one being his main setup for quite some time. It's his two Delta 88's that he ran together. At some point shortly after this he added in a Maz 38 Sr. All of which were on all the time. Anyway, I miss my brother, but I appreciate the time we had.

A greatly missed talent.
Added: Little Juke Joint is part of our repertoire. The music endures.

I miss Micheal. I have a photo of him on the wall at the shop, I think of him all the time. Great generous man, great player, he is truly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
