I had to mow the pasture today so I listened to three LPs: Shake Your Money Maker, Southern Harmonies, and Amorica.

That's a lot of mowing and a lot of black crowes!

I really dug their first couple records....I always like what I hear from them but I think I've only bought the first two. How many acres was the pasture?

You could easily get it converted to songs per square foot and see if you have the same production rate the second time you listen to the LP's in succession while mowing the pasture. Not sure how that graph would look

Love the black Crowes. Not sure why I only own one of their albums. I shredded about 6 acres after work yesterday, well-accompanied by Lowell George and Little Feat. 6 down, 56.5 more to go....Need to buy more Feat or Crowes, I guess....

That's a lot of grass, between the mowing and the Crowes...
Love me some Black Crowes; I've got pretty much all their stuff. I think Southern Harmony & Musical Companion and Amorica are their best, but really they're all pretty darned great. Been thinkin' about seeing Bad Company this summer, as a matter of fact, because Rich is sitting in with them (!) since Mick Ralphs backed off. For some reason, I just love Rich's beastly rhythm-guitar tone.

Must be okay considering Jimmy Page had them as his backing band to air some Zep numbers.

Southern Harmony & Musical Companion is in my list of top 5 best albums ever. Saw them in Atlanta right after that album came out without knowing anything about them and was blown away and have seen them several times since....

Lee, I have dibs on five acres, you're fasted riding mower, and an IPOD full of blues.

I mowed nine acres in all, so I also listened to some Humble Pie! Mow on Guilded Splinters - love it! Humble Pie is one of the main reasons I bought a Remedy.

Those are excellent albums! Love them! I'm also a big fan of their later stuff, Warpaint and Before the Frost / After the Freeze. They're a little different than the early stuff but still so good. Check them out if you haven't already.

One of my favourite bands ever, I think I own most of the official stuff and some bootlegs too, and I'm sure I'm missing a lot... I had the chance to see them live five times (with all their guitar players except for Jeff Cease), yes, I am that kind of fan. I wish I had seen them more, but Spain was not one of their 'targets'... Tons of tone!!

I thought their early stuff was great. I saw them once during that time. Great live show too. Lot's of extended jams. They reminded me of early Allman Bros. in that they didn't play things exactly like the record which is what most bands did.
