as some of you may know I had placed a few amps up for sale due to having to cover some expenses after my mom went to heaven to be with the Lord. I placed the Therapy up for sale on Reverb and did receive one offer but ultimately I removed it and kept it. I did sell 2 other amps and was able to cover the expenses. Therapy is the first Z amp I actually bought new and I hold a special place for it since I had to work towards the goal of paying it off and on top of it it sounds so awesome. from clean to mean...glad the amp is still around

Glad you took care of your business and were able to keep your Therapy. It will probably be the last amp I move as well, if need be.

I am down to only my Therapy....but it is constantly pleasing me with a variety of sounds. I'd like to pick up some alternative tubes fir to further enhance the flavors available in it...Especially some 6V6 and KT77 or whatever KT fits.

Glad to hear you got your expenses taken care of with out losing the Therapy! I had mine up for sale in the B.S.T. section for a day or two until I plugged into it! Not sure I could ever sell this amp!

Sorry for your loss, brother...but glad you were able to hang on to the Therapy. It's one whale of an amplifier.

I went down to one amp....just cleaning up my signal line sorta. I miss playing in stereo and the sweet Monza lead tone...I don't miss owning it however. I'm happy with the Therapy, but I bought a Monza twice . I love the Therapy's ability to impersonate other Z amp qualities ....turn the treble off and crank up the bass, then just use the mids control to bring in some brightness and crank the volume up to create more brightness and gain- sounds similar to the Monza to me. Not quite as sweet but real nice. Truly though, it's easier to unclutter my stuff than it is to unclutter my mind...here is a link to the story of what exactly happened to the MONZA

Truly though, it's easier to unclutter my stuff than it is to unclutter my mind...here is a link to the story of what exactly happened to the MONZAThat was a brilliant post , IMHO. It was absolutely brilliant. I've been feeling exactly the same way. Especially lately. I'm down to just the Therapy and JAZ. Honestly I could get by with only having either, but I don't feel too bad about having two amps. They are quite different in all honesty. Guitars... Down to 3 total and one of em I made in the garage. Pedals are slowly being sold off, at least ones I haven't used in a while. Like Simpleton said, it feels good to get back to the basics and not all caught up in just the gear acquiring. It really turned into a disease for me. I got to the point of having a new amp "in the mail" and I was already looking for what I should buy next. I've been on this trend for about a year and a half now. It's weird because it's not really a money thing, I just don't like having all kinds of excess stuff around. I get worrying if something ever happened to me, my wife would be lost on what to do with all my stuff. It feels good to pair down. Pair of amps, pair of store bought guitars. Loving it. Feels like losing weight. And back on topic, congrats on keeping the Therapy and sorry for your loss.

Pretty bad when we pare things down to OUR minimum and it's two amps, two pedal boards, and two guitars per amp.

Pretty bad when we pare things down to OUR minimum and it's two amps, two pedal boards, and two guitars per amp. The bottom line seems different for every soul....we just need to honor it in our own life and respect others liberty or lack there of. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing....I've stimulated new buying adventures by trying to get things down to a one guitar one amp scene, as nothing really does it all and accepting not having a sound we want to make can be harder than just grabbing that Tele or Strat or LP and getting the sound. In the end we just need to find our peace and follow it. But if I really could find one guitar to replace the three I have I WOULD....unless it was super duper expensive...then I could try to forget I knew there was one out there that could

^ I hear ya. One thing that goes through my mind often is that just about all my favorite guitar players are know for using the same guitar and the same amp just about all the time. They seems to make a lot of money and fame with the tone they can sneak out of one pretty basic set up. I could definitely get down to one guitar. Both my guitars are Les Paul's. I'd keep my Custom and sell the R9. If I had to pick between the Therapy and the JAZ... Well... Let's not talk about what's never going to happen Some people really enjoy collecting gear. Nothing wrong with that. It could be called a hobby in itself. Some people collect stamps and cabbage patch kids. Whatever floats your boat. For some reason it just doesn't work for me. I find myself playing the same things over and over, just sampling through different equipment. It stunts my growth lol.

I've stopped buying and I'm focusing on practicing / playing. I have 7 guitars , and sometimes think about cutting one or more loose but each is different and I'm finally happy with what I have so I can't figure out which one(s) I would let go.

I cut two guitars (out of nine) this week.
It feels like progress.

I hear what Nick is saying A LOT-this is my one amp and guitar, make it work.I don't think there's a right or wrong here(I think Simpleton made that point)just what suits the individual. And guys who can afford a lot of equiptment, and like the variety shouldn't feel bad either. Although I would like to own 4-5 more amps,I don't mind if I never get them,The Therapy is MINE,it's what I sound like.
