Hi all,
Was wondering if any one on here has tried the Maz 38 in stereo with a Badger 35 (might be getting one soon!).
If not I'm wondering if there is any "rule-of-thumbs" for pairing an amp with a Maz 38? Is it mid-heavy? Low-mids/high-mids? If so I suppose you would pair it with the opposite type of amp?
ANy thoughts would eb appreciated :-)

The 38 is a fairly neutral amp. It might be slightly on the brighter side, but I would consider it to be fairly neutral sounding with the capability of becoming really whatever you want it to be. A lot of magic happens by turning the mids up or down. It can do blackface to super mid rangy tones. My only concern with running it in stereo would be that it would be CRAZY loud, being that the 38 is already one of the loudest freaking amps ever! You can really shape the 38 to sound however you need it to sound which would probably work for you if you want something different than you already have.

Thanks Daveyk!
Yeah the volume it definitely something I'd have to watch :-) Might bring an attenuator for the Maz and power-scale the Badger.
Thanks for the insight! If I get a chance to get this together I'll post up some sound clips
Thanks!
