I really doubt it but I thought I'd ask those who have both. I have one on the way, and I love my Ghia so much I'm afraid it may "1up" my Ghia with the added goodies. I'm sure it will retire my Deluxe Reverb though.

Wow....My Maz Jr certainly retired my '66 Deluxe Reverb.....*gulp* Never thought I'd say it, but it did! Ghia is a different beast, though. You'll keep both and like them for different reasons. Similar amps, yeah....but definitely each have their own THANG going on.

I went to the dark side and sold my Maz and bought a R66 and a Ghia to replace it...
Jason, how is the tour coming? How about an update?

....on my z quest the ghia was my first one...my bandmates got it now and i have a maz 18 but i will have to have another ghia eventually...not as versatile for my needs as a Maz 18 but the tone/simplicity factor is just too dang cool....

I started with a Ghia combo and then added a Maz 18 NR and Z-Best cab. I was looking for a little more head-room for certain situations. With my band I have found the Maz suits me better, since we tend to be on the loud sound. When we play in a small room I still like the Ghia. I play the Ghia more at home. The fact that one is head and the other a combo also plays into what I take out. Sometimes it's nice to take the Maz head to the studio and play it through one of the studio's cabs. The bottom line is I think you can make a case for owning both
